Very prickly exterior, but very warm interior! One of the most tsun tsunderes you will ever meet.
Tries very hard to be cool, calm, and professional, but gets annoyed very easily. Izumi will not hesitate to call you out.
Speaking of, he also likes to tease those younger than him.
Izumi is very loyal to those he holds close. If you manage to prove to him that you will be there for him, he will Die For You.
He is an avid practitioner of tough love. His nagging and biting comments stem from his need for perfectionism both in himself and in others.
A very hard worker. He puts in a lot of extra work to achieve excellence in all he does, even paying attention to the smallest details.
Izumi actually gets embarrassed rather easily. He just usually covers it up with anger and annoyance. Sometimes he refuses to admit his own shortcomings.

Izumi identifies as nonbinary and uses he/they pronouns!
Loves cats. Absolutely adores them.
But his most favorite animal is the Shrimp, of course.
Izumi has daily workouts! Some to increase stamina for lives, and some for maintaining his physique. This also doubles as my excuse for when I have practice lol
He really wants Tsukasa to stop being afraid of him :( He tries so hard.
He has BPD and is taking steps to cope with it. Meds, therapy, etc. (I talk about it every now and then to make myself feel comfortable about myself, but I can stop if needed)
Maybe he's just too used to being in the weird Knights environment, but he tends to say some pretty freaky things when talking to people outside his unit. (see: OCEANS story and RELOADED)

Izumi is just about as fluent in Italian as I like to think I am in Japanese (so, on a scale of 1-10, maybe a 5). It's enough to carry on a basic conversation and get around, but it still takes him a while to recall some words.
He loves the water. Being by rivers, oceans, or even just in aquariums calms him.
Izumi will wear his glasses every now and then because I think glasses are cute and sexy.
Oddly specific but since he hates the heat I like to think his body isn't very good at sweating. On one hand, he never has to worry about yucky sweat rings. On the other hand, he overheats way too easily.
Definitely spends at least 75 minutes every night on his daily skincare routine.
Doesn't usually like being touched.
It's very hard for him to say mushy things like "I love you" or other words of affection, even towards his loved ones. You're lucky if you hear it from him!
He has a very strict balanced diet (but he allows one cheat day a month for beloved 🍤). His snacks consist of granola bars and fruit. He counts his calories and tracks his sugar intake. He reads the nutrition facts on all the food he buys.
Actually pretty good at cooking
He will put clips in his hair sometimes. Stars, flowers, or whatever matches his outfit.
Does his nails, obviously.

Less silly headcanons
Izumi absolutely does not want to think about second year. It makes him nauseous. He actively avoids anything about it. Even small paper cuts on people's fingers are enough to make him uncomfortable.
He almost tries too hard to prevent a repeat of what happened.
During that time, he would cut the insides of his thighs, where no one could see. The scars are still visible, but they're hidden well. No one else sees them but him; he’s reminded every day before he steps into the shower.
He often thinks about simply disappearing. Never death, but just ceasing to exist. Would anyone care? Would anyone notice?
It's extremely hard for him to form any sort of connection with anybody. He lives in constant fear that no one actually likes him. No one would dare show him any genuine kindness, because he doesn't deserve it.
He genuinely thinks he's one of the most despicable people alive.
Izumi gets anxiety attacks at night when he's by himself. He gets caught up in his thoughts, and they overwhelm him very easily.
He had an eating disorder when he was younger. He's long overcome it, but a few symptoms show themselves every now and then.
He was molested in his earlier years during one of his modeling jobs. He’s never forgotten about it or how it’s changed him. He’s ashamed of it and he’ll never tell anyone.
